ORLA · Oral Clinic · Rio de Janeiro
ORLA was conceived by Helena Avelar and Tomás Nogueira to bring diagnosis, prevention, conservative cosmetic care, prosthodontics and implant dentistry into one coordinated clinical plan.

Helena Avelar developed her practice around restorative dentistry, prevention and conservative cosmetic care. Tomás Nogueira followed a path through prosthodontics, implant dentistry and oral rehabilitation.
ORLA was created so these decisions would not happen separately. The clinic connects assessment, preservation, function, aesthetics and maintenance in a pathway followed by the same clinicians.

The clinic's core expertise guides preventive, restorative, orthodontic and rehabilitative care without fragmenting the plan.
Conservative restorations, prevention and cosmetic planning that prioritises preserving healthy tooth structure.
›Rehabilitation of missing or worn teeth, from the surgical stage through prosthetic maintenance.
›Assessment of tooth position, bite and gum health before recommending orthodontic movement.
›Regular visits, hygiene support and monitoring of the tissues that support the teeth.
›Whitening, direct restorations and veneers are discussed according to indication and level of intervention.
›You meet one of the clinicians, receive a clinical assessment and understand which records or complementary evaluations are genuinely useful for your case.
The purpose is to understand what brought you in, organise priorities and explain alternatives. If additional records are useful, you will understand the reason for each one before moving forward.
Understand your first visit

Clinical photography, diagnostic imaging, scanning and laboratory work can support more precise decisions. Technology is used when it adds clarity — never as a substitute for clinical assessment.

We start with what brought you in. The assessment then looks at your teeth, gums, bite and function. Additional records are requested only when they support diagnosis.
Not necessarily. The first visit is designed to understand your needs and explain options, priorities and next steps before you decide.
Yes. Sharing discomfort, previous experiences or accessibility needs helps the team conduct the appointment at a pace that works for you.
Following the assessment, suitable options, their stages and related costs should be clearly presented before treatment begins.
If you have recent radiographs, reports or records, they may be useful. The team will decide whether new records are actually needed.
No. The content is informational and provides no diagnosis. ORLA is a fictional portfolio concept and does not provide care.
